While all hockey players can skate, most current players chop and work too hard, during long and short rink dashes, loosing stamina and focus as the game progresses. This class is designed to break down and re-build the skating stroke correcting muscle memory for a long, efficient and strong skating stroke. Through specially designed exercises and drills that define edge use and control, skaters will create power and balance while preserving their energy and stamina for the duration of a game (and potential overtimes). Correct technique combined with power skating will build stamina and confidence so your hockey player can concentrate on learning the game in practice, and playing to win in games. NOTE: to promote proper balance and edge work, and for safety reasons, all elements are taught without a stick or puck.

Proper skating techniques are the primary focus of these levels. Perfect for beginner hockey players.NOTE: to promote proper balance and edge work, and for safety reasons, all elements are taught without a stick or puck.
